Dokumentation Obersalzberg - Idyll and Atrocity
The newly opened permanent exhibition "Idyll and Crime" offers a deep insight into Obersalzberg's connection to Hitler and National Socialism. With 350 exhibits, including a historic bunker, it tells the story of the site and its victims. The Obersalzberg Documentation, active since 1999, plays an important role in the national and international reappraisal of the Nazi past. Obersalzberg served as Hitler's vacation home from 1923 and became the second seat of government of the Third Reich after the seizure of power in 1933.
